But a nice example of ubiquitous ICT, the nazbataq!

Thanks for sharing.

Hi Martijn,

you are quite right. That#s what networks all about:
Business and personal networks come together on the internet :-) and that movement is fast and rapid.

Hello Cordny,

I wonder if we need to make this strict distinction between business and private. To me the essence is that you see a big movement in network relation, between people, between applications, between machines. It is becoming more and more a connected world.

Social networking started in the private domain and has crossed over to the business domain. Salesforce is creating special tools to use social networking for lead referral. To me that is one of the interesting aspects of the current time, that the line between work and private is blurring. You can also see this in the rise of ZZP'ers where company and personal interest is coming together and where people need to rely on their networks.

Hi Martijn,

just reading your very informative blog.
I have 1 comment to this particular story
about SalesForce.
For me, web2.0 is the consumer-related web-based software services and SAAS the business related web-based software services. This to differentiate these software services considering its user.
CRM application is for me SAAS and not web2.0.
How do you think about this?

Regards, Cordny
How do you feel to this?

Kind regards,
Cordny

The reason why I really like the Teletext application on my I-Phone is simply because it works very fast every where (as long there is network coverage), has the latest up to date and essential news information (the limitation of the number of words per page causes the editors to be to the point) and provides the same (for me well known) interface across different platforms (TV, PC, I-Phone) resulting in a (for me) very efficient way of finding the information I'm interesting in, e.g. the latest sports information (e.g. Vuelta stage results). Other ways of finding this kind of information e.g. via the safari web-browser takes much more effort in both finding/searching the same essential information. It would be great if the I-Phone (and even the Internet version of the) Teletext application would be linked towards the other available sources of information, e.g. the video of the winner of the stage. In this way the fast and familiar usage of the Teletekst interface provides an efficient way to access the vast amount of related information that is out there.

Martijn,

:-) I was reading more info on IOUIT and I found this last comment from you ... let me answer you !!??:

"Why measure local temperature (and be dependent on extra hardware sensors) if you can find the local temperature based on your location data on a existing weather site?"

because you need to know if local temperature is 30 C and you are in 20 C that means you are probably into a building which is not energy efficient ...

Interesting post, Martijn. Yes, IBM Connections has some interesting components and Atlas is interesting too. Do you know Twine? Twine (twine.com) is very comparable. I subscribed for an invite to test Twine, but haven't got one yet...
